RACO’s Support Center is now available through your iPhone, iPad or Android for easy and convenient onsite access. Now, workers can browse content while in the field and get answers to more than 500 frequently asked questions. Simply type in www.racomobilesupport.com for access. The mobile website functions similarly to the original—just search for questions using the “Support Center-Answer” tab, set up a user profile through “My Page” or create your own question with the “Ask a Question” feature. Tip of the Month: Integrating MicroLogix to Verbatim Gateway via Modbus Protocol over RS232

The Verbatim Gateway system—interfaced with an Allen-Bradley MicroLogix family of PLCs containing a native Modbus RTU Slave driver—performs alarm and monitoring functions with existing wiring to PLCs as inputs via data communications. In order to facilitate data communications via Modbus RTU Master/Slave over RS232 data interface, RACO provides a NULL Modem serial cable, VAB-1. Tip of the Month: Connecting Verbatim Gateway to CompactLogix PLC

Verbatim Gateway autodialers can be connected via DF1 to any of Allen-Bradley’s CompactLogix family of PLCs, which have a 9 PIN, male RS232 port. The following tips will help you get started. 1. Prepare your equipment: You will need a Verbatim Gateway autodialer and 510VAB-1 cable, supplied by RACO, and a CompactLogix PLC, RS232 cable and RSLogix software, supplied by Allen-Bradley. 2.
