Interfacing RACO’s Catalyst  system with Allen-Bradley’s MicroLogix PLCs allows Catalyst to use existing wiring for alarm notifications and data logging. The following tips will get you started: 1. RACO’s Verbatim Gateway system puts pump station alarm monitoring and reporting for water and wastewater treatment plants right at your fingertips. Programming, status checks and alarm notification are all done through the phone. The system is compatible with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and PC-based HMI/SCADA systems, and can monitor up to 144 points at once. The Evesham Municipal Utilities Authority in Marlton, N.J., found the alarm reporting system for its water and wastewater facilities troublesome. When the system sensed an alarm, it alerted the supervisor.
