For flexible remote communications, RACO offers Catalyst, the first integrated, interactive system for pump station data logging, alarm notification and status checks for water and wastewater treatment plants. The Catalyst system can monitor up to 256 points at once for data and event logging, storing information on data samples, alarms, channel state changes and configuration changes on five megabytes of memory. Case Study: Catalyst System Increases Efficiency

In an effort to improve plant efficiency and provide safe drinking water, the Pike Township Municipal Authority installed a RACO Catalyst system at its Curwensville, Pa., water treatment and distribution facility. The authority did this as part of its membership in the Partnership for Safe Water program, which encourages utilities to voluntarily survey plant operations. Interfacing RACO’s Catalyst  system with Allen-Bradley’s MicroLogix PLCs allows Catalyst to use existing wiring for alarm notifications and data logging. The following tips will get you started: 1. Having trouble with the phone lines for your RACO autodialer? Try these tips to help diagnose the problem. 1. RACO autodialers work like regular telephones. Try plugging a phone into the autodialer’s jack and making an outside call. If the phone can’t make the call, neither can the autodialer. 2. Check the connection by pressing the “dial out” button on the autodialer’s keypad and listening for a dial tone. You can also measure the voltage to check the connection.
