RACO’s Verbatim Gateway system puts pump station alarm monitoring and reporting for water and wastewater treatment plants right at your fingertips. Programming, status checks and alarm notification are all done through the phone. The system is compatible with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and PC-based HMI/SCADA systems, and can monitor up to 144 points at once. Tip of the Month: Sensor Wires

The distance a sensor wire can run between an alarm autodialer and its contacts depends on two factors: the alarm autodialer model and wire size. Generally, the smaller the wire’s gauge, the shorter it can run. Take the Verbatim model, for example. With this system, an 18-gauge wire allows 33 miles between the alarm autodialer and contact, but go down to 20-gauge, and the distance drops to 20 miles.
