Interfacing RACO’s Catalyst  system with Allen-Bradley’s MicroLogix PLCs allows Catalyst to use existing wiring for alarm notifications and data logging. The following tips will get you started: 1. Have a question about a RACO product? The RACO Support Center can help you out. Here’s how to use it: Search for answers to frequently asked questions using the “Support Center-Answers” tab. Either select a product from the dropdown menu or enter keywords in the search box to get a list of answers about that topic. Tip of the Month: Sensor Wires

The distance a sensor wire can run between an alarm autodialer and its contacts depends on two factors: the alarm autodialer model and wire size. Generally, the smaller the wire’s gauge, the shorter it can run. Take the Verbatim model, for example. With this system, an 18-gauge wire allows 33 miles between the alarm autodialer and contact, but go down to 20-gauge, and the distance drops to 20 miles.
